What are the recommendations of view BEST view in Tucson, Arizona?
My 3 year old daughter and I will fly to Tucson, Arizona, in a week to visit my husband who is in the U.S. Army and going off base for the first time since he's in Arizona. My hotel is near the Tucson Airport and really want to do some sightseeing for the weekend because it's the only time my husband is allowed. It's a shame we do not have time to see the Grand Canyon, but could not something similar be in Tucson or maybe some nice places to visit while we're there? I really want to enjoy our short time of being there and showing my husband and family a good time. =) Thanks!
I gather your husband is at Fort Huachuca? There are so many wonderful things to see and do in Arizona, so I moved here after retiring from the military. But the real question is, what there to do for families with young children?! Tucson has a wonderful Museum of the Desert in the southwestern part. Old Tucson Studios are also some films were were made as part of "Three Friends" and John Wayne movies. And do not discount Cochise County, Arizona, "Land of Legends" according to the office County tourism. Old Bisbee is a delight, but the ladder can get problematic strollers. We have ghost towns, mountains and a pleasant climate throughout the years long. That's why I moved here ... First, he loved the area back in 1985 when I was here for Advanced Individual Training.
