pearl harbor arizona memorial tour

pearl harbor arizona memorial tour pearl harbor arizona memorial tour

Hawaii raining almost every day, and many of my tours of Pearl Harbor that have experienced rapid rains that cool the tropical heat and smell of the evening air with Frangipani and jasmine. The Hawaiian language has almost a hundred words for the word rain depending on the circumstance of rain, the direction of the rain, the breadth and depth rain, and so on.

Visit the Arizona Memorial in Oahu, I remember how close the Hawaiian word for rain, "AU" is the word Hawaiian to mourn, "ue". Â

The Arizona Memorial sits on the site where the battleship USS Arizona, sunk during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. It is said that this site is the final resting place of 1,100 soldiers serving their purpose in Arizona in the surprise assault of Japanese planes.

Today there is no leakage of oil still above the USS Arizona, small black bubbles that rise to the surface in tears. These are Tears known as "Black".

Roosevelt called the attack on Pearl Harbor, "a date which will live in infamy." Â 7 December 1941, lives at a time that America lost its innocence, some of his invulnerability. The Hawaiian Islands became a place of martial law and many Japanese-Americans ended up losing his business and freedoms of the U.S. internment camps established on the continent.

War was brought to the Pacific and many places the region that have enjoyed a quiet and idyllic tropical existence before the Japanese attack and did not have that luxury or tranquility.Â

It's hard to imagine to Hawaii in a state of siege, bombarded runways and rows of warships that sank. We can see in the movies, read about it in history books, but not until you are actually standing on the Arizona Memorial, overlooking the deep blue skies of Hawaii, you can hear the sounds of enemy fighters and feel how land and sea must have trembled as the bombs were whistling and shouting.

The attack on Pearl Harbor seems far away, an Aug. different life, but today there is a greater security during the tour, and being told that no bags are allowed on the USS Arizona Memorial, reminds that history has a way to repeat that we are still itself. vulnerable and still lives at risk and Americans are being targeted.

The rain falls in Hawaii and the poets say that the gods are crying and tears fall from heaven. This type of rain, "ua," it is the reflection. But when we looked down on the black tears rel = "nofollow" href = "https: / / hawaiitours.com / pearlharbor.php"> Pearl Harbor, "ue", it is not forgetting. is remembered.
